Leeds Central Station Upgrade
Major civil engineering works to increase platform capacity and improve passenger flow at a busy rail hub.
The Challenge
All construction had to be carried out while the station remained fully operational, demanding intricate phasing and night-time works to minimize disruption to the 100,000 daily passengers.
Our Solution
We developed a detailed 7-phase logistical plan in partnership with Network Rail. A temporary platform was constructed to maintain train services while the new platform was built. Most of the heavy structural work was completed during scheduled overnight possessions.
