A new terminal extension and taxiway over the Royal Docks.
The Challenge
Building a new taxiway over water while adhering to strict aviation regulations and managing the logistics of an operational airport was a monumental engineering task.
Our Solution
The taxiway was constructed using large, pre-cast concrete sections manufactured off-site and lifted into place by giant floating cranes. This minimized work over the water and accelerated the program.
